Project Goals
- Circling Buffalo Inc. Provides services for Mental Health Issues to Manitoba's 63 First Nation Communities and First Nation shelters.
- Circling Buffalo Inc. strives to enhance access to Mental Health Counselling for victims of violence.
- Work with First Nation shelters and First Nations Communities to bridge the gap between clients with mental health issues and access to services of Mental Health Therapists.
Target Area
- 63 Manitoba First Nations on an as needed basis
- Circling Buffalo Inc. deploys Mental Health Therapists on Monthly scheduled visits to Manitoba's First Nation shelters in Mathias Colomb, Shamattawa, Nisichawayasihk, Norway House, and Fisher River
- All service requests must be in relation to Family Violence
Expectation of Service Providers
- Provide mental health services to contacts impacted by family violence
- Keep record of all contacts visited, other key information areas identified by Project Coordinator. Information recorded will not put client confidentiality in jeopardy
- Provide evaluation feedback for an annual reports on direction, recommendations, and service delivery for future years.
- Remuneration for services provided to approved Mental Health Therapists
